It all comes down to personal preference. Both our sock and square style bags contain the same amount of rosin. Sock or square, the choice is yours!

Light pine rosin is less oxidized. It’s lighter in color (pale yellow to light amber), has a cleaner smell, and tends to be more brittle with a more controlled, predictable tack. Light rosin is typically found in most rosin bags on the market. It provides a drier and grittier feel once applied and can be slower to tack.

Dark pine rosin has undergone more oxidation from heat, air exposure, or longer storage. It’s darker (amber to brown), has a stronger pine odor, and is typically softer, tackier, and sometimes more powdery. If you are looking for an instant high tack feel, dark rosin is for you.

Light rosin = slower to tack, drier grittier feel.

Dark rosin = quick to tack, provides stick almost instantly. Softer and more powdery feel.

We use a rock/powder blend. All bags arrive broken in and ready for game use.

This is one of the best design aspects of our rosin bags. We designed our bags to be rugged enough to withstand the elements. If your bag gets soaked, put it out in the sun to dry. Once fully dry, slam it on the ground as much as you like until the clumps break apart inside and the rosin begins to flow again.
